District staff proposed creating a single portal where principals, coaches and other staff can look up every volunteer by name and see whether they are Level 1 or Level 2 cleared. "I can type in somebody's name, and then that particular person's name will come up... and it will say level 1 or level 2," the safety director said, noting nightly sync with Raptor.
Staff also proposed adding attestations for principals, athletic directors and club sponsors to confirm they understand Level 1/Level 2 distinctions and mandatory supervision requirements. Boyack said principals would get speaker notes and targeted trainings, and a volunteer handbook will describe responsibilities and mandatory reporting obligations. The board discussed practical questions such as after-hours check-in, substitute teachers, and whether the district can deploy iPad check-in stations at events.
