Council approved a $4,617,277 package to buy construction equipment across departments. Ryan, the presenting staff member, told the council most of the machines are replacements for heavily used units with an average age of roughly six years and that bid tabs included trade-in offerings; "Most, if not all of that, I can think of 1 piece that we're not trading in that we will put through our surplus auction," he said.
