The Oelrichs School District 23-3 Board of Education voted June 23 to hire FMG Engineering to provide engineering services for paving the high school and elementary school parking lots, approving fees not to exceed $15,500 plus applicable taxes. The district said the project aims to reduce dust and erosion, improve stormwater management, lower maintenance costs and improve accessibility and safety.
Jason Hinds of FMG Engineering presented the proposal and described the scope as including a detailed survey, grading plan, bidding support and construction-period services including construction testing. The motion was made by Dave Osmotherly and seconded by Lance Tlustos and carried unanimously. The board did not set a construction start date at the meeting; staff will proceed with contracting steps under the approved fee cap.
