Board approves training travel and authorizes hiring process after lab tech retirement

Wastewater manager Ed Hollenden informed the board that chief lab technician Mike Raker submitted retirement papers and will retire at the end of September; Hollenden requested permission to begin the hiring process and the board approved moving forward.
Hollenden also requested approval for two employees to attend the Indiana Water Environment Association (IWEA) conference in Indianapolis August 26–28 at a cost of $1,819.20 plus meal reimbursements; the board approved the travel request by motion and voice vote.
