The JSP Utility Service Board on July 20 approved the low bid for a wastewater manhole rehabilitation package and authorized a not-to-exceed $40,000 capital expenditure pending a final spec review.
Wastewater manager Ed Hollenden told the board there were three responsive bids: Midwest Infrastructure Coatings quoted $420 per vertical foot and $1,900 per each; CTR Coatings quoted $390 per vertical foot and $1,800 per each; and Advanced Rehabilitation Technology quoted $370 per vertical foot and $1,500 per each. Hollenden asked the board to “go ahead and get that approved pending spec review,” and the board passed a motion to accept the low bid and proceed within the $40,000 cap. The motion was moved and seconded and approved by voice vote.
