Council approved pay request number 13 for the water reclamation facility improvement project, a payment of $4,010,004.73 to PKG Contracting for work completed through June.
City manager Dave McNeil summarized the scope of the invoiced work — general conditions, pretreatment bypass pumping, pretreatment demolition, structural work, final clarifier, UV disinfection, concrete pours, earthwork, electrical, plumbing and HVAC work, and delivery of precast blowers and diaphragm pumps. He said staff recommended approval of the payment and that project progress is on schedule.
During discussion a council member noted material in the packet indicating the project was about 43% complete; the council voted to approve the payment, with one abstention recorded. The approval allows the contractor to be paid for recent deliveries and installed equipment and to continue the scheduled work phases.
