The River Ridge Community Development District unanimously approved AV-Tech LLC estimates 24150 and 24151 to install three permanent and one mobile 15" solar-powered digital speed radar signs with cameras and messaging and to subscribe to cloud-device service at $1,500 per device per year. The motion was made and approved during the Nov. 19, 2024 regular meeting.
PSGRC General Manager Eric Long said the board’s decision was informed by data from an existing sign, which "clocked 800 varied speeding violations over a three week period," supporting additional devices and relocation of an existing unit. Mr. Willis presented site and cost details and said the district will need to purchase poles (estimated $1,200 each) to re-site equipment.
The board approved the combined package for a total of $105,000 and directed operations staff to coordinate pole purchases and scheduling with AV-Tech and Paramount Asphalt.
Next steps: Operations will schedule installation and return a reconciliation report on final costs and installation timing. Cloud-device fees and ongoing operating costs were noted as an annual recurring expense to be borne by the district or offset by alternate arrangements with the HOA/PSGRC.
