Board previews CTC renovation plan and potential SBA support with county match

Staff told the board the district is planning for a renovation of the Career and Technical Center and intends to apply to the SBA for funds, but that the project will require a county match. “We are planning for the renovation of our CTC…and so we're gonna go to the SBA to hopefully help with those funds, and we'll have to have the county match for that,” the staff member said.
Board members asked whether the Coldfield/CTC project was paid for; staff replied that a few smaller items remain to pay but that the SBA covered most expenses to date. Staff said they expect to pursue the SBA application next fall and that the board will later discuss how much the district can commit as a match when the SBA application is prepared.
