The Ashley Community Forest Board entered an executive session on March 12 to consider a recommendation for appointment of a board member after the Strafford Selectboard declined the board’s previously recommended candidate. At 7:27 p.m., Kevin Gish moved “to enter executive session for a recommendation regarding the appointment of a public officer (Ashley Community Forest Board member) per 1 V.S.A. § 313(a)3”; Erik Skarsten seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The board exited executive session at 7:42 p.m. and agreed that Gish would communicate the board’s recommendation to the Strafford Selectboard. No formal appointment was recorded during the meeting; the next procedural step is outreach to the Strafford Selectboard. The board scheduled its next public meeting for April 9, 2026 at the Sharon Town Office.
