The Henrietta Town Board voted unanimously July 22 to approve special use permit application 2026011 for El Rancho Viejo, allowing the restaurant at 3679 West Henrietta Road to sell limited alcoholic beverages in addition to dine-in, takeout, outdoor seating and a drive-thru.
Sergio Lopez, a part owner, told the board the project is finishing required fire-alarm work and expects the location—formerly a Burger King—to open once inspections are complete. Supervisor Schultz reminded the applicant that the liquor authority requires evidence of local approval, and advised safety measures for any outdoor seating, saying, “If it's out front, what a lot of people do is they get, like, concrete planters…so someone doesn't accidentally drive into your patrons.” The board closed the public hearing and approved the permit by roll call (all ayes).
