Cindy Pritchard of Keep Oconee County Beautiful used her brief appearance to offer back-to-school sustainability tips for Oconee County families, recommending shared rides, reusable water bottles and lunch containers, and bringing reusable bags when shopping for supplies. "We also wanna remind you about reusable water bottles," Pritchard said, adding that personalizing bottles with stickers helps children keep and use them.

Pritchard framed the remarks around the timing — late July and the approaching school year — and suggested practical measures to lower waste and save money. She recommended using organized shared rides (described colloquially as "the big yellow Uber") to reduce vehicles on the road, encouraged packing lunches in reusable containers or "bento boxes," and suggested cloth napkins or bandanas as reusable alternatives. She closed by inviting questions and ideas and thanking attendees "for what you do to keep Oconee clean, green, and beautiful," wishing families a great new school year.
