Sharon sets Green Up Day for May 2; tabling, free pollinator plants and extended drop-off planned

The Sharon Conservation Commission recorded plans for Green Up Day on May 2. Troi Perkins coordinated with Alan Wight, the Town Highway supervisor, to arrange dumpsters and a truck; Troi is obtaining supplies from the Vermont Green Up Day Association and a new banner for the Town Green. Foster Gardens will offer free pollinator plants to participants, and the Sharon Community Trust will have a table. The commission voted to approve tabling at the entrance drive to the Town Garage for the event.
Tentative hours are 8 a.m.–12 p.m. with extended unsupervised drop-off hours, and lunch from 12–1 p.m. with music. The minutes record coordination with Judy from Evergreen Recycling on dumpster logistics. No final schedule or volunteer roster was recorded in the minutes.
