Commission member Malcolm McShinsky reported that Ashley Community Forest is planning an invasive-species workshop; details were pending. Scott Chesnut said Carol Langstaff proposed an invasive hands-on workshop that might occur at Sharon School or on select roadsides in late May (the week after Green Up Day) or in early June.
The commission also discussed outreach opportunities: a possible table on Town Meeting Day (March 3) to gather Green Up Day signups and publicity. Malcolm noted the Sharon Connects Festival on July 11 as another community engagement opportunity. Scott raised the need to ask the town for a commission budget but no formal budget request was made at the meeting. Troi and Scott agreed to confirm a 6:30 PM meeting start time in the town committee meeting book.
