Town Administrator Nicola Shipman told the Selectboard she attended a VLCT CHIP webinar and is available to answer questions or find further information for the board. Shipman said she is working with the Two Rivers-Ottauquechee Regional Commission (TRORC) on both the Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP) renewal and the town’s Capital Budget Plan, which the Selectboard will review for approval.
Shipman said she and Highway Supervisor Allen Wight will work with Rita Seto to apply for a VTrans Temporary Light Package/Sign Package grant and the VTrans Class 2 Resurfacing grant. She listed several RFPs in the pipeline, including interior painting of the Old Town Hall, a structural evaluation of the Town Highway Garage, a groundskeeping RFP and several highway construction RFPs expected in the coming weeks. Shipman also noted the Town received a boiler repair bill exceeding $3,000 for the Old School House and said the system appears to need significant support this year.
