Milton awards $126,240 stormwater contract for phosphorus control

The Milton Selectboard voted July 20 to award a contract for the town’s Phosphorus Control Plan stormwater projects to All Seasons Excavating, in an amount not to exceed $126,240. Public Works Project Manager Allyssa Downs presented the Department’s recommendation after the town received two responsive bids: All Seasons Excavating at $126,240.00 and Bevins and Sons, Inc. at $159,007.55.
Downs said the work will install stormwater infiltration chambers within the town right-of-way on Sawyer Avenue, Bear Trap Road and Cadreact Road. The Selectboard’s authorization specifies project funding of 80% through the ARPA CWF-MS4 Grant and 20% through the Town’s Stormwater Fund. The motion to award the contract was made by Selectboard Member Leland Morgan and seconded by Betsy Paret; the motion carried unanimously.
