Council approves Skyhaven Wines remote tasting room and off-site liquor license at 14 Main Street

The council approved a special use permit and corresponding remote tasting-room liquor license to allow Skyhaven Wines to operate at 14 Main Street. City Planner J. Emanuel Stuart said the Planning & Zoning Commission recommended approval and staff found the proposed use compatible with Commercial Mixed 2 zoning in the entertainment district. The public hearing on the special use permit drew no public comment and the permit was approved unanimously.
Mayor Budge then introduced a liquor-license application submitted by Chris Brinkmeyer for Skyhaven Reach Bisbee Tasting Room LLC, dba Skyhaven Wines. Councilmember Cesilia C. Garcia asked about on-site management; the applicant said that "either he or his co-owner, Bridgette, would be present whenever the tasting room was open," and that Bridgette is completing required state training. Deputy Clerk Nina Williams clarified the correct application fee was $350 (the applicant had used an outdated $300 form). The council approved the liquor license unanimously.
