Byram reports $44,473 in recent grants, NJDOT application and budget kickoff

Township Manager Joseph Sabatini told the council Byram had received a Recycling Tonnage Grant for $12,473.16 and a Highlands Performance Grant for $32,000. He also said a settlement with the Fair Share Housing Center will be presented by July 10 and that the township is submitting a grant application to the New Jersey Department of Transportation for the Forest Lake Road Improvement Project (Resolution No. 133-2026).
Sabatini reported paving work in Forest Lakes is underway, with Mountain View, Mountain Heights and Circle Drive slated next and additional paving by NJNG planned for late August. He said the township has kicked off the 2027 budget process with department heads. The council adopted related Chapter 159 entries for grants (Resolution Nos. 135–138) as part of the consent agenda.
