The BET Budget Committee voted 4-0 to approve PW-5, a $50,000 release of conditions for the Hamill Rink facility after the RTM passed the MI referral on June 15.
Jim Michel, Commissioner of Public Works, told the Committee the condition being released originated from the FY22 appropriation rather than FY26 and confirmed that a separate FY27 appropriation of $2.7 million for design will be automatically released as of July 1, 2026. Michel said the project remains on schedule to go out to bid in spring 2027. The Committee recommended the release as routine.
