Acting Superintendent Tim Smith presented a revised 2026–27 school calendar that adds built-in inclement-weather days, retains a September 1 opening day and fixes graduation on June 16. Mr. Smith also shared results from a community calendar survey.
Board members discussed parents' feedback, including whether parents preferred graduation on a Wednesday rather than a Friday; Mr. Smith said some parents favored the non-Friday date. Board member Bridget Shirvell asked the district to consider including more Jewish holidays in future calendars. Dan Kelley moved to approve the revised calendar; Zach Boudah seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The adopted calendar includes the noted changes; no further modifications were made at the meeting.
