The Board of Estimate & Taxation Budget Committee on June 16 voted 4-0 to approve NW-4, a $240,000 transfer at Nathaniel Witherell moving funds from the Fringe Benefits account to Supplies, Materials & Insurance.
Kelly Nardone, Director of Financial Operations at Nathaniel Witherell, detailed the allocations: $70,000 to insurance, $70,000 to maintenance and general purposes, $2,000 to pharmacy/medical, $8,000 to custodial/household supplies, and $90,000 to food. Nardone said the move was possible because "the surplus resulted from a lower number of staff enrolled in the insurance plan than budgeted." The Committee characterized the item as routine and recommended approval to the full BET.
