Town narrows bikeways grant to complete Harrison section first

Staff told the board that, after speaking with Norberto and reviewing cost estimates, the township narrowed its bikeways grant application to prioritize completing the Harrison Avenue section in the near term. "We decided to focus on completing the Harrison section of the bikeways as part of the grant," the Chair said while describing the grant strategy.
Members noted that some curbing and other non-bikeway improvements would remain municipal responsibilities even if the grant funds the bike portion, and a council member suggested contacting the county about adjacent Orange Road paving and potential striping assistance. Staff said they will follow up after the meeting with county contacts to explore coordination.
