Trestle repair RFP reissued after zero bidders; yurt occupancy rising for summer months

Parks and Recreation staff reported that no contractors attended the mandatory pre-bid for the trestle repair project. The RFP has been revised and reissued, with a second pre-bid scheduled for the following Tuesday. Staff said that if the second pre-bid also produces zero interest they will explore alternate options to complete the project.
Separately, staff noted that yurt occupancy picked up in June and that July is expected to be a very good month for Bayfield yurts. Numerous recurring events were approved over the last month and staff recommended placing the reports on file, which the committee did.
The committee received the operational updates and directed staff to continue outreach to potential contractors and to process the events and yurt operations under standard procedures.
