The committee agreed to keep Juniper Park listed as a park and to retain several park-related edits in the plan. Maren said she changed wording on lighting to "explore the need for a lighting plan" rather than requiring creation of a plan, reflecting a lack of consensus on whether park lighting is needed. The committee also approved adding an appendix with facility names, addresses and public-facility types to improve usability.
"We changed the language for the lighting plan to explore the need for a lighting plan because before it just said create a lighting plan for our park and, we revised it to reflect that there still need there still isn't consensus that our park needs a lighting plan," the presenter said. Committee members expressed support for keeping Juniper Park in the document and for the proposed appendix and photo updates.
