Mayor requests that plan spell out "diversity, equity and inclusion" rather than use DEI acronym

"If DEI is referenced anywhere, if we could change it to diversity, equity, and inclusion just so that we are calling it out by name," the mayor said. The request was accepted by staff and will be incorporated into the clean and commented plan versions that staff will circulate to the committee and the City Council.
