City Recorder Allison Leavitt told the council the amended FY2025-26 budget must be increased to record grants received during the year. She said the amendment reflects a significantly elevated figure "due to grant awards received during the 2025-2026 fiscal year, specifically $1,700,000 for a new well and funds for pickleball court construction," and that the expenditures will largely occur in the following fiscal year.
Councilmember Michael Mathie moved to adopt Resolution 6 03 2026 adopting the amended FY2025-26 budget; Councilmember Jason Bagley seconded. The roll call vote was Bagley, Johnson, Mathie and Payne in favor; the motion carried unanimously, 4-0.
Councilmembers noted the grants must be shown in the current fiscal year records even though construction and payments will take place later, and directed staff to track grant spend and related project schedules.
