Board OKs police technology contracts and authorizes two officers to attend IACP conference
Summary
Garden City trustees approved an AlliConnect contract for $2,500 and a PSTrax contract for $840, and authorized Chief Jeremy Black and Sgt. Ken Amick to attend the IACP conference Oct. 22–28, 2026 in Orlando.
The Board approved two police department contracts and authorized travel for department leadership. Trustee Rebecca Moreau moved to approve an AlliConnect contract and quote for $2,500 and the motion carried. Trustee Leigh Sorensen moved to approve a PSTrax contract for $840 and that motion also carried.
In separate action, the Board approved Chief Jeremy Black and Sergeant Ken Amick's attendance at the 2026 International Association of Chiefs of Police conference in Orlando, Florida, scheduled Oct. 22'28, 2026. The minutes record unanimous approval of the contracts and the travel authorization.
