The Barry County Board of Commissioners approved appointing County Administrator Eric Zuzga as Officer Delegate and Tammi Price as Officer Alternate to attend the 2026 Municipal Employees' Retirement System (MERS) annual meeting at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids on Oct. 8–9, 2026. The board also authorized payment of expenses for both the Officer Delegate and the Employee Delegate to attend.
The motion was moved by Commissioner Bruce Campbell and seconded by Vice‑Chair David Hatfield. The vote was recorded as Ayes: Bassett, Campbell, Hatfield, Getty, Jackson, Smelker and Teunessen; Absent: Callton. No further discussion about the county’s pension policy or travel budget was recorded in the minutes.
