The Salina Planning Commission took the following formal actions by voice vote at this meeting:
- Approved the minutes of the July 7 meeting. - Recommended approval of ZMA 26004 (rezone from C-7 to C-5 for the 1.8-acre parcel at 645 West Diamond Drive) and will forward the recommendation to the city commission; a 14-day statutory protest period applies. - Approved the requested variation from Section 36‑72(b) (internal common-area drive in lieu of direct public street frontage) pursuant to Section 36‑10 after making the four required findings. - Approved the preliminary plat PP 26001 (Auburndale District addition) of a 9.19-acre tract into six lots subject to the staff-recommended ten conditions, including underground utilities, three new fire hydrants, a 75,000-pound fire apparatus access requirement, a Knox box if a gate is used, and recordation of draft covenants for common-area maintenance and access.
All motions passed by voice vote and the meeting was adjourned. The next planning commission meeting is scheduled for August 4.
