Board notifies property owner at 3864 150th St NW to begin cleanup; status update due Sept. 3

Property owner John Haack appeared at the meeting regarding ongoing issues at 3864 150th St NW. The board reiterated that County Ordinance requirements apply and informed Mr. Haack that items recently moved from his Maple Lake property may not remain outside at the Silver Creek site. Mr. Haack said he intends to address the issues and is currently cleaning the garage.
Vice Chairman Mike Helman moved that the township begin the process of issuing a written notice to Mr. Haack outlining the violations and to require Mr. Haack to report at the Sept. 3, 2024 meeting with an update on cleanup progress; Supervisor Ryan Nelson seconded and the motion carried 4-0. The board encouraged Mr. Haack to make as much progress as possible before the next meeting so the board can evaluate remaining work and timelines.
The board provided Mr. Haack with a copy of the County Ordinance to guide remediation steps. No enforcement fines or deadlines beyond the Sept. 3 update were recorded in the minutes.
