Chief reports staffing vacancies and June crime totals including 50 vehicle collisions

He also noted an ongoing investigation that involves federal partners, including Homeland Security, and said evidence analysis will make that probe lengthy. The chief and other members discussed one collision near Pendleton Road that resulted in a death and acknowledged the department will continue operations while coordinating with federal agencies as needed.
