County Superintendent of Public Works Thomas Windus presented the request and provided the exact dollar amounts for the reappropriation and new allotment. "The total increase to the County Road Fund is $989,118," the committee record shows. Legislator D. Healy moved the approval and Legislator W. Meunier seconded; the motion carried. The request included line-item directions to budget the funds in D5112.223 (Co Rd/Road Construction CHIPS Paving) and to record matching revenue in D5110.3501.00 (Co Rd/Maint Road & Bridges).
The committee's action will allow the department to advance paving and related highway projects supported by CHIPS, PAVE NY and other state programs in the 2026 budget year. The resolution was referred to Ways and Means for final appropriation and accounting.
