The Planning & Zoning Committee voted to send revised accessory dwelling unit (ADU) architectural standards to City Council after staff described the new compatibility requirements.
Eric (staff) said the revision "added this section right here for your exterior finishes to more likely match what is existing with the home that it's accessory to," and that the Planning Commission would be given authority to review architectural compatibility. The committee motion to send the ADU text to council was seconded and approved; staff explained the ordinary legislative process and that ordinances will require three readings before taking effect.
