Committee ratifies $4,700 Sand Dollar scribing cost and notes treasurer transition

Chair reported a small contract addition requested by the Town of Hilton Head to add scribing to the Sand Dollar resurfacing work and sought committee ratification of the expense. "The cost was only $4,700 to do it. I went to the treasurer and the vice chairman... I would like to have the committees vote in approval of that expenditure," the chair said. A motion was made, seconded, and the committee approved the $4,700 expenditure by voice vote.
Separately, the chair announced that Jim (Treasurer) is taking another role but will remain on the committee; the chair said he asked David Johnson to become the committee treasurer and Johnson has accepted and will work with Chris and Jim during a transition period. The committee acknowledged Jim’s service and confirmed the administrative change without objection.
