"This shows the hotel occupancy for the month of June...outside of Downtown Chicago, we are higher than any other area in Metropolitan Chicago," Speckman said.
A motion to approve funding was moved and seconded; the committee recorded ayes and the motion passed. Members who spoke in favor noted the bureau’s work brings out-of-town visitors whose spending supports restaurants and merchants during off-peak times.
