Council adopts revised Dwyer Farms PUD that increases lot count and removes a stormwater tract

The Edgerton City Council voted to adopt Ordinance No. 2179 to approve a revised Planned Unit Development concept plan (PUD2025-0001) for roughly 80.4 acres at the southwest corner of 207th Street/Braun Street and 8th Street/Edgerton Road.
Development Services Director Zach Moore told the Council the revision adds four residential lots and removes one stormwater tract; because the change increases density, Code requires Council approval. Moore said the conditions of the initial PUD continue to apply and noted the Planning Commission recommended approval unanimously.
Councilmember Clay Longanecker and Councilmember Ron Conus expressed concern about removing a planned stormwater tract given earlier public comments about flooding; Longanecker said flooding has been an issue in the past and he does not want it to recur. Moore responded that engineers have reviewed the redesign and do not believe it will create problems because runoff will be redirected to another area. Council approved Ordinance 2179, 4-0.
The decision authorizes the PUD revision but staff and engineers will monitor stormwater engineering as the project advances.
