Council approves two small land-use changes in Envision Edgerton 2050 update

The council approved Ordinance No. 2183 amending the Envision Edgerton 2050 Future Land Use Map to redesignate 14.76 acres at W. 191st & Four Corners from Parks/Recreation to Logistics Park and 34.79 acres at Waverly Road & US-56 to Mixed-Use; the Planning Commission had recommended approval after a public hearing with no comments.
The City Council voted unanimously on Aug. 14 to adopt Ordinance No. 2183, which amends the Envision Edgerton 2050 Future Land Use Map. Development Services staff proposed two map changes: 14.76 acres at W. 191st Street and Four Corners Road would be redesignated from Parks/Recreation to Logistics Park after staff confirmed the property is privately owned; 34.79 acres at the southeast corner of Waverly Road and US-56 Highway would be designated Mixed-Use to align with nearby parcels.
Mr. Moore told council the Planning Commission reviewed the amendments at a June 10 work session and held a July 8 public hearing with no public comments; the commission recommended approval 3-0. Councilmember Josh Lewis moved to approve Ordinance 2183, Councilmember Ron Conus seconded, and the motion carried 4-0.
