The Chair introduced and the board adopted Resolution 20 26 02 to adopt the town's water emergency contingency plan and authorize associated appropriations. "Based on the alliance, [they] put together the outline and the guidelines for what to do in the event of a huge disaster," the Chair said, describing protocols for man-made and natural incidents.
Members confirmed the plan will be revised on an annual basis and that staff changes or substantive edits will trigger updates. Officials said they will submit the document to the Department of Environmental Management and send copies to EMA; hard copies will be kept at designated locations including the marshal's office and the wellfield. The Chair and other members thanked staff for preparing the document and noted the Alliance provided drafting assistance at no charge.
The meeting record shows the resolution was moved and seconded and then recorded as passed; the transcript does not include an individual roll-call vote tally. The board directed that copies be distributed to relevant emergency-management locations and that staff incorporate the plan into yearly review processes.
