Dr. Andre recommended Rogers after an interview process; trustees described Rogers—ackground in special education, program development and school leadership before moving to a voice vote. The chair called for ayes and announced the motion passed.
Dr. Rogers addressed the board after the vote, describing more than 25 years in public-school administration and a focus on special education and program building. He told the board he was "very excited to be here" and said he looks forward to working with Franklin Street staff and families.
