Trustees press for clearer dashboards and specific KPIs — attendance, test scores, ELL and special education

Trustees said the district has a large amount of data but needs a focused set of indicators the board can act on. Mister Salvi asked for current statistics and concrete targets through 2027, saying, "These statements will be meaningless if we do not have a specific goal attached to it." Dr. Andre and others recommended identifying four or five "big bucket" metrics to track over the school year and using committee meetings to dive deeper into those items.
Members suggested data items that should be part of the board ashboard: average daily attendance, state assessment/test scores, iReady interim measures, AP enrollment and scores, ELL progress, restraints and seclusions, and special-education indicators. Trustees asked that the administration present those measures in a consistent cadence (for example, quarterly) and in formats that allow the board to see both district-wide trends and subgroup performance.
