WCES Principal Misty Gardner told the board that custodial staff have been preparing the building and teachers are moving into classrooms ahead of the new school year. She said the grade school will adopt an ocean theme across the building and will host monthly "donuts with dad" events; communications will be sent to families.
Gardner described a two-car drop-off procedure to be used this year and said the district will post a social-media video explaining the process. She also reported that High Plains Educational Service needs more paraeducators for the school year and noted Sneak Peek events for Kindergarten through 6th grade and a separate preschool Sneak Peek.
