Leoti council approves wage increase and three weeks' vacation for employee after executive sessions

The Leoti City Council recessed into several executive sessions under K.S.A. 75-4319(b)(1) to discuss nonelected personnel evaluations. After the sessions, the council approved a wage increase for the employee discussed and specified the increase will take effect when the employee completes certification. The motion to give the wage increase was moved by Councilor Kelma Burch and seconded by Councilor Aron White; it passed unanimously.
At a subsequent executive-session return the council voted to grant the same employee three weeks' vacation on each anniversary date. That motion was moved by Councilor Aron White and seconded by Councilor Jim Kreutzer and carried unanimously. The minutes record that no additional public action or conditions were announced beyond the approvals recorded.
