SWCA monitoring report for Georgia O'Keeffe Alley to be withdrawn and resubmitted; committee seeks more artifact correlation

The committee reviewed SWCA's monitoring plan for 330 feet of underground utility work in the historic downtown archaeological review district and questioned whether the current submission included sufficient artifact documentation and sampling (no radiocarbon samples were reported; only a single insulator photo was included). SWCA's Megan Trowbridge, sworn for testimony, said she would address committee comments and supplement the report with stratigraphic drawings and artifact comparisons.
Committee members pressed SWCA to correlate findings with adjacent excavations at the Georgia O'Keeffe site and sought a timetable. Trowbridge said the neighboring assemblage analysis would be mostly complete by the end of August and estimated three months to provide a fuller augmented report. The committee then agreed on a schedule leading to an October 6 packet deadline for the October 22 meeting, moved to withdraw the present submission, and carried the motion to have SWCA resubmit the augmented report.
