The Board of Education of Unified School District No. 467 met in special session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 11, 2025, at WCJSHS in Leoti, Kansas. Board President Josh Young called the meeting to order; members present were Julee Beedy, Maegan Berry, Bruce Loy, Eryka Smith and Josh Young. Also present were Superintendent Lori Maxwell, Clerk Tammy Mason, WCES Principal Misty Gardner and Director of Grounds & Maintenance/Transportation Buck Bishop. WCJSHS Principal Brant Douglas joined the meeting at 6:19 p.m.
Board members and administration walked through WCJSHS and the Greenhouse/Ag Shop to review completed projects and future needs; they also inspected the maintenance shop and bus barn to evaluate items for disposal and discuss transportation needs, and toured WCES to review completed projects. The meeting was informational; there were no recorded motions or votes. Josh Young officially adjourned the special session at 6:40 p.m.
