Following an earlier closed-session interview, the Board of Education moved into a second executive session on Jan. 14 to further discuss matters affecting the superintendent position. Adam Marcotte moved and Matt Price seconded the motion to enter executive session under the non-elected personnel exception of the Kansas Open Meetings Act; the motion set a return time of 7:11 p.m. and passed 6-0.
The board returned to open session at 7:11 p.m. and did not take any formal action on the superintendent position during open session. The board scheduled a special session for Jan. 21, 2026, for continued consideration if needed.
