The Board of Education of Unified School District No. 467, Wichita County, met in special session on Jan. 14, 2026, and entered executive session to interview Brant Douglas, principal of WCJSHS, as a candidate for Superintendent of Schools. Maegan Berry moved and Matt Price seconded the motion to enter executive session; the motion stated it was to "discuss matters adversely or favorably affecting non-elected personnel" under the Kansas Open Meetings Act and passed 6-0.
Superintendent Lori Maxwell was present for the interview. The board returned to open session at 6:41 p.m., at which time Principal Douglas exited the meeting. The board did not announce an appointment in open session and set a follow-up special session for Jan. 21, 2026.
