Leoti reports street maintenance progress, grease removal and a new hire for municipal court staff
Summary

City Superintendent Blaine Medina told the council the street sweeper is up and running; chip seal material has been placed in the southwest quadrant and crews have been patching streets and alleyways. He also reported crews pulled roughly 200 pounds of grease from the north lift station and that the banner brackets were moved to Highway 96. Medina said the city will share information with the public about proper disposal of fats, oils and grease (F.O.G.).
City Clerk Jeannine Hassell reported Superintendent Medina completed the lead and copper report and that it was filed the same day. Hassell announced that Oralia Soto has been hired as Administrative Assistant / Municipal Court clerk and will start on Monday, Oct. 14, 2024; Patty is adjusting to a new position and preparing materials for the incoming employee. The council adjourned at 7:47 p.m. following a motion by Councilor Aron White, seconded by Council President Derek Meyer.
