City Superintendent Blaine Medina reported he had spoken with an Auto Water salesman in Gipson, Kansas about a bulk water station. Medina described a kiosk that can accept coins, bills, credit cards or prepaid cards and can be connected directly to the internet (no phone line required); the unit can be configured for overhead or side discharge.
Council discussed raising the price of bulk water but did not set a new price at the Oct. 7 meeting. Council asked Superintendent Medina to obtain a final quote on the system before returning to the council with a recommendation.
