The Darien Architectural Review Board on July 21 reviewed façade revisions for Viewpoint Rhone at 1080 Boston Post Road and issued a favorable report after the applicant addressed four major board requests. The changes included removal of awning logos, added horizontal bands meant to recall the original façade except at the central entrance, and an updated blade sign with directed lighting.
Presenter James Ranges described a proposed marble inset over a graphic storefront window; the board asked that the marble be centered over three windows on the west façade and requested addition of three awnings. The board also asked for confirmation that the storefront base at the entrance bump‑out would be expressed flat and coplanar to grade. The board recorded a favorable report following that confirmation.
