Water‑tower leak delays commissioning; wastewater design and meter grants expected in 2025

"They have to come back immediately and get it done because of the weather," the Chair said, urging prompt contractor action.
The council also reviewed grant activity: the town submitted a wastewater design grant on Sept. 1 that will lead to construction bids in 2025, and a federal grant for meters and transmission-line work has already been approved for work in 2025. Members discussed contractor scheduling and the need to temporarily rely on existing water sources until the fixed tower is made operational.
