S3 presented the monthly financial report, saying the town trailed receipts by roughly $15,000 at the end of last month but was showing improvement year-to-date to about $6,200 behind. S3 listed delinquent accounts (six accounts in the roughly $300 range, with an outstanding total of $1,459) and said collection letters had gone out and no one had contacted the office yet.
On utilities, S3 said the town had one new sewer/water customer this month, two water shutoffs and one new line hookup scheduled; pump and tank maintenance continues. "So at the end of last month, I think we were roughly $15,000 behind our receipts," S3 said, adding that the recent trend shows improvement. The council discussed clarifying bill due dates and ordinance language to reduce customer confusion about delinquency and shutoff notices.
